Is your Airbnb rental… missing something? Have you spent lots of money on nice furniture but are confused as to why the area still doesn’t feel welcoming? If you’re here looking for a quick and easy way to make your long or short-term rental more appealing to your renters then you’ve come to the right place.

After countless hours of hard research (not really) we’ve found the answer… plants!

Some well-placed greenery will liven a space and purify the air. Plants are also helpful in creating a more relaxing, restful ambiance in any room. Most people book our Airbnb rental as a vacation getaway, so the goal is to create that relaxing vacation feel. We also know that spending time in nature is linked to reduced stress levels and tension relief. So adding plants to your Airbnb rental is like bringing nature indoors!

There are literally millions of different plants, vases, and shelving options–all of which look great. It doesn’t matter if you go for the tropical tree in the corner, a stylish cart full of hanging shrubs, or the asian-inspired simplicity of bamboo in a geometric pot. Adding plants to any area will add life to the room!

If you have an empty corner or spot that needs filling, we suggest going with a large pot filled with a leafy shrub! I recently purchased a Peace Lily for $10 at Walmart that looks fabulous and fills the gap between our sectional and the wall. Simply water it every 2 weeks and let it flourish.

Want to add some personality to that bare desk, ledge, or table? Ikea has a cool selection of geometric pots that will add a splash of color and funk to any space. These also go great in the bathroom above the toilet. Take our word for it.

Can’t decide on just one plant? Buy the whole isle! Any combination looks great–just go with what ever catches your eye and fits your budget. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to find a great plant.

Pro tip: If you are like me and can’t keep even the toughest plants alive, get fake ones! Most of the plants pictured above are actually fake. You can get a wide array of fake plants at Target for less than $20! They look fantastic, won’t wither away, and still manage to add just the right amount of style to your room.

Now go out there and create your own indoor plant nursery! Have you tastefully styled your Airbnb rental using plants? Tag us in your plant photos on social media.
